HUNDREDS of Zulu’s gathered at at the King Zwelithini Stadium in Umlazi, KwaZulu-Natal, on Sunday morning to commemorate the 1994 Shell House massacre. In 1994 eight Zulu marchers were shot dead in front of the African National Congress Shell House headquarters when a gathering of Zulu demonstrators marched through Johannesburg in support of the Zulu King Goodwill Zwelithini’s call for sovereignty. KwaZulu-Natal Welfare MEC Gideon Zulu and other traditional leaders are expected to address the rally later in the day.
