THE government raised R861,9-million through issuing government bonds, whilst short-term loans (net) increased by R3 058,9 million during February. The Department of Finance announced on Thursday that domestic loans to the amount of R10822,7-million and foreign loans to the amount of R2696,1-million were redeemed during the period 1 April 1999 to 29 February 2000.
