EQUATORIAL Guinea were thrashed 3-1 by the Republic of Congo on Sunday in the first round of African qualifying games for the 2002 World Cup. Nanitelamio Ngoma, Sylvestre Nkeoua and Lebany scored for the Red Devils. The two sides meet for the second leg of their competition on April 23 in Pointe Noire, Republic of Congo.
