ZIMBABWE FARMER SHOT, WOUNDED

A farmer in Zimbabwe has been shot by unknown assailants and is in a critical condition in Harare, a representative for the Commercial Farmers’ Union (CFU) said on Monday. CFU representative Jenni Williams said it appeared that Alan Bradley had been ambushed on his farm in the Macheke area, about 80 kilometres southeast of Harare, on Sunday evening. He had been transferred to a hospital in Harare, and was in a critical condition. – AFP
