Afrikanerbond slams ‘blatant interference’ in squad

Political interference in South African cricket has not produced the best team for their tour to India, the Afrikanerbond said on Tuesday in a letter to the Board of Control for Cricket in India. Managing director Jan Bosman said that international standards must apply in the selection of the best team to represent a country.

Afrikanerbond takes issue with view of SA’s heroes

Those who fought against apartheid are not everyone’s heroes, the Afrikanerbond said on Tuesday. ”These heroes from the ‘struggle’ past are not the only heroes and definitely not everyone’s heroes,” said Afrikanerbond managing director Jan Bosman.
