Armed gang robs Moyo restaurant

A group of armed robbers held up a staff member and fled with an undisclosed amount of money at the well-known Moyo restaurant at Zoo Lake in Johannesburg, police said on Friday. Police spokesperson Julia Claasen said that on Thursday night, one of the robbers went into the restaurant, sat at the bar and ordered drinks.

Police track down alleged robber hiding in a ditch

Johannesburg police arrested a man on Monday in connection with an armed robbery at a Pick ‘n Pay supermarket in Mulbarton over the weekend. Police spokesperson Captain Julia Claasen said the man was found in a ditch where he had been hiding since the robbery on Sunday evening.
