Elevator horror becomes internet sensation

A time-lapse video of a man trapped in an elevator for 41 hours has become something of an internet sensation after surveillance camera footage emerged of the event, which occurred nearly a decade ago. Video of his ordeal was posted online to accompany an article in the April 21 edition of the New Yorker.

Oil prices surge following Opec supply report

Oil prices surged above a barrel on Monday for the first time after the Organisation of the Petroleum Exporting Countries (Opec) said crude production by non-Opec countries is falling even as global demand for oil is rising. Prices were also supported by concerns Turkish forces will pursue Kurdish rebels into Iraq.
