Beaufort West police seize tonnes of dagga

Three-and-a-half tonnes of dagga worth about R3,4-million were seized by Beaufort West police in one week, Western Cape police said on Friday. Spokesperson Ntobeko Mangqwengqwe said that in all three cases vehicles were stopped while heading for Cape Town.

Victims of plane crash identified

The four people killed in a light aircraft crash in the Swartberg Mountains on Tuesday have been identified by relatives, Western Cape police said on Wednesday. The plane that was en route to Pretoria from Mossel bay was piloted by 51-year-old Phillip Ginsberg from Pretoria.
